Jordan Marine Reserve
This is a 100-hectare of core zone or protected areas. It is a good area for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. It is also the nesting site of green sea and hawksbill turtles. It is a project of the municipality of Jordan for the preservation of endangered marine species. After being hatched, the sea turtles are cared in the aquarium-nursery and then released in the sea. The fully-grown turtles periodically return to the beach during mating season and lay their eggs in the sand.
