Visit the Lighthouse

Nestled in Brgy. Dolores in Nueva Valencia, the 18th century-constructed Guisi lighthouse (Faro de Punta Luzaran) is said to be the second oldest lighthouse in the country. It was built by the Spanish government in 1894. If the lighthouse is a person, then he or she should already 121 years old. Isn’t it worth your visit?

Experience the Farm and Garden Life

Aside from beaches and mangoes, Guimaras Island also offers a taste of the fun agritourism life. There are four different farms where tourists can experience harvesting vegetables and other naturally grown produce. Or, if you want, you can just lounge under the cashew or mango tree with a drink in hand—which is, naturally, made of mangoes!

Check out the Windmill

Since you’re already in Guimaras, then why not drop by and take some photos of the windmill in San Lorenzo? It is ideal to visit the windmill early in the morning or late afternoon so as to avoid the blazing sun aside from the fact that the colors of the sky during these moments are just amazing!

Visit the Trappist

Trappist definitely deserves your visit! A peaceful and scared place ideal for retreats. Trappist is run by monks and is the only Trappist monastery in the country!
